Centro de Vida Cristiana Granada's 10th Anniversary
Let God surprise you!
|
Whit these words began the 10th anniversary in the Centro de Vida Cristiana Church of Granada and so were the days 27th, 28th and 29th of May with an attndance of 106, 108 and 134 respectively; God moved in an incredible way. Pastor Dick Flores de Leon an his wife Ruth Flores de Leon were invited to this anniversary and God has used them in an incredible way to encourage, bless, teach and share what was in their hearts to the Church of Granada.
On Friday 27, Dick Florex began sharing the example of Nehemiah with emphasis on the word of God taht we must make good decision to see lives touched and hearts changed, situations... How can we achieve this?:
- Fast and pray like Nehemiah did for the people of Israel when they were in captivity, the wal was torn down and its gates burned.
- God heard and provided an apportunity to change history.
- Nehemiah was brave and took steps of faith in obedience. He risked everything to seek freedom, favor, provision and protection.
Similarly, we must believe that when we cry and pray God hears us and can change the course of history, our nation and our generation. The Lord gives us permission, protection, provision, authority, anointing. With all that, God can make an impact on Granada through his church. The Enemy fears, hates and opposes: Nehemiah
4:1-2.
God is on our side and there are "Lost Sheep and Prodigal ones" who need the Father´s embrace, and to long for being committed to God to fulfill his words and promises for our lives. We ended up sharing food and fellowship with one another in a great atmosphere among the brothers, friends and visitors.
On Saturday morning, God continued surprising us, the day was destined to servants. Dick Flores and his wife were sharing about "Cultivating a community of life" 2 Corinthians
13:11-14. Living in community require commitment. Ephesians
4:3
For our church to be healthy, dignified and honorable we must make decisions:
|
|
| |
- Humility: 1
Peter 5: 5-6. Humility builds bridges, but pride erects barriers between people. Pride blocks God´s grace in our community life, and grace is what we need to grow, change, improve, heal and help others. Transparency allows the glory and grace of God shine through us.
- Kindness: Titus
3:2-5. Have "consideration" for the feelings of others. There will allways be special people who "need
extra GRACE ".
- Safety: 1
Peter 4: 8. Create an atmosphere of trust and tru love, 1
John 4: 17-19. An environment where they feel love and accepted. Examine how we treat others reveals our level of love.

On Saturday evening our guest brother continued cheering and sharing with us that we are: "God´s Favorite". God rejoices over us 1 Peter 5:8. We must practice self-control and stay alert:
- Being aware of our position in God as favorites.
- Recognizing the"Voice" of our Father (John
10:27-29)
- Keeping our confidence (Hebrews
10:35-39)
- Trusting in God´s favor and declare it.
Because our God is the True King, the Victorious Warrior who brings us Health, Restoration and Exaltation. These are the gifts of inheritance for us Romans
15:4-13. To end this anniversary on Sunday, we continued receiving awesome gifts of God for our lives. Pastor Dick expressed: Creating a "Place of Healing" (Psalm
133:1). Having true communion:
-Selflessly loving
-Sharing with sincere hearts
-Serving on the practical things
-Making sacrifices for the benefit of others and comforting
-Praying for others
All this was accompanied by a really good time of praise and worship, where God could be felt in a mighty way speaking to people´s lives, bringing words to lift Granada. The Holy Spirit led us to a greater commitment to give our life for others.
Our Pastor Paco Pascual gave the annual report acknowledging defeats and victories, being grateful to his family, disciples, church, friends and our dear and beloved pastor Luis Sagarra. Recognizing that because of his bravery in Granada today we are making a difference. Emphasizing that for this next year God challenge us to be better disciples and grow in commitment.
Luis
Sagarra inspired us and encouraged and shared taht we must recognize taht Jesus Christ must be Lord of our lives and that all things were made by Him John
1:1. The key word in this anniversary has been “THANK YOU”,
because until now we have seen how God has been on our side, committed people have worked and are changing in a powerful way all areas of the church to be a major influence on our city. Thanks to each of the brothers who have visited us, for sharing with us the celebration of these 10 years in Granada. The best is yet co come!
