Integrity,
social sensibility, a value based life, freedom from bad
habits, loving God, take care of our surroundings, education,
etc., are current demands for a successful life.
Any governmental, private or public entity includes these
demands, even if it’s only for a speech.
Likewise,
Christians may bring to the society we live on the entire
spiritual heritage of our faith. Based and focused on
Jesus Christ and His Word, we search in the Bible as a
book in which we find stories that promote and affirm
values, demands integrity, sensibility and care for the
week and the one in suffer. Bible promotes success, education,
and combats fanatism.
For us Christians, Bible is not a book of commandments,
with the intention to complicate our lives. We must understand
the difference between living based on commandments and
living a value based life (values pointed by those commandments).
Commandments, therefore, promotes values and not otherwise.
In a real christianism, biblical commandments have the
purpose to lead us to live a life of values: freedom,
respect, love, trust, true, integrity, mercy, faith, solidarity,
fidelity, etc.
A
religious but not Christian person, sacrifices values
in his life and lives based on commandments, not values,
without any practical expressions of solidarity or
mercy.
A true Christian, on the other hand, knows that commandments
leads to practice values in his every day life.
A true Christian
knows that meditation in the biblical stories and
searching and learning their lesson, leads to follow
the values God underlines in each story.
When someone
lives a religious life filled with fanatism and
religiosity, without understanding real Christianity,
he or she gets tired, get incredulous. The incredulity
produces indifference, boredom, cynicism and apostasy.
Regrettably, this is the state of many.
Each
person is free to make their own decision; as for myself
I choose the following:
I
choose to be a man of integrity, and decide to be honest
in absolutely each one of my activities.
I choose to believe God, receive His forgiveness, to
feel loved and protected by Him.
I
choose to edify a family that always be guided by values.
I
choose to have a life full of social sensitivity, devoting
most of my efforts to give help and welfare to those
in suffer, the weak, the poor and the social minorities.
I
choose to speak the truth, even though by doing this,
people that said they loved me may became my enemies,
as it has been and will be.
I
choose, also, to forgive those who offended me and continue
to live my life for Christ and others.
I choose to be brave, and not waist any time feeling
sorry and thinking in all that could be and wasn’t.
I choose to bless and respect every person who thinks
and acts in a different way than me.
I
choose and decide to defend my convictions, with absolute
strength and meekness.
I choose to be responsible, and from my position in
this ministry, defend Centro de Vida Cristiana from
any attitude or person that may come in the way of being
a ministry edified on values and social sensibility.
I choose not to ask those around me things or activities
that I would never like to be asked for, or that make
them feel bad or miserable.
I also choose to try with all my strength to be a good
son, good husband, good father, good Christian and good
citizen.
I choose to be a person that recognizes his mistakes,
weakness and clumsiness, and that rectifies and changes
his course and ask for forgiveness when needed.
Dear
friend: God’s heart is filled with love towards you,
towards me, and all in suffer. His love is great, for God
so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that
whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal
life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn
the world, but to save the world through him. Yet, He places
one value over love. Freedom. We have absolute freedom to
choose for God or not. We are absolutely free to choose
for his Reign or not.
Each
person is free, and therefore, is responsible
for his own life. None can blame others for anything, since
each is free to choose and therefore responsible, each can
choose for God or not. Each can choose for God’s govern
upon their lives, and live a value based life with social
sensitivity.
Through
the years in Centro de Vida Cristiana,
I’ve
seen so many wonders, so many blessings, so many restored
families; thousands of people helped in various ways. The
poor feed. The drug addict, free from drugs and alcohol.
The selfish, the miserly, the one that always tries to compete
and stand out, now living to help others.
The porn-addicted, the lust, the hurtful, are now free.
At times when according to the statistics, in America and
Europe, half matrimonies stay together, and only half of
them live in a sensate way, we see couples and families
to the verge of disintegration come to our counselling,
learn to forgive, change and restore totally.
Women about to have
an abortion, being informed and helped; in that way, we’ve
saved thousands of lives about to be murdered by their
own mothers. We’ve also reached thousands of young
people, encouraging them to keep in school, warning them
about drugs, helping them to reach their goals, get the
highest level of education possible. We’ve served
hundreds of abandoned/ semi-abandoned kids, giving them
food, love, shelter, medical services, toys, clothes,
education and so on.
This is
why, a ministry that promotes values and
social sensitivity, is undoubtedly the answer and source
of welfare for any society. Our world is constantly
in fight and war, over the lack of these values in their
personal goals and dreams, this creating and promoting fight.
The need of this world at a personal-, family-, social-,
and work-level is a ministry that promotes values and sensitivity.
In
sight of this, we believe God rises an answer, gives us
a way of life and amongst every choice
Jesus keeps saying: “ here I am, if there is
any loaded, come to me, I’ll give you rest”.
If any is loaded, if any can’t reach the full life
for which God has made him, come to Him. If to this day,
you are unable to live fully what God has for you; Christ
is waiting for you! Come to Him in faith, Jesus is real!
We
live in a generation that has set apart from God, values
and solidarity with the neighbour. However, in the
midst of this generation, there are a few that claims
saying: “Lord, it doesn’t matter what
everybody else do, I want to be faithful to you, I
want to be a men/women of values, of sensitivity, I
want to remain and last until the end”.
PTo
Christians, it is elementary to be Jesus’ followers,
followers of His Gospel. If we say He is our Lord, not
only do we call Him Lord, but we place Him first in our
lives, we love Him, we make of Him the most important
person in our lives, we crown Him God in our lives. That
is to be a Christian!! That is making Jesus our Lord!
Dictionary defines the word “values” like
this: Quality of objects and things that makes them valuables.
Meaning or importance of one thing. Quality of a man’s
soul. Habits and disposition of a person’s soul
to the upper law.
At last, I finish with a question,
